members representing 13 different areas of our hospital. I am very impressed
by the work that many of you put into your monthly articles. We certainly
have a brainy bunch here at MRMC!
Your December assignment is to suggest a way that Journal Club perhaps
could be more interactive between members? Or, maybe you like it just the
way it is. I chose the blog format for Journal Club because it would allow
all nurses, regardless of their schedule or shift, to participate and interact
through the comment section. But alas, not one comment this year.
Please make your feelings known by using the comment box on this post,
email melissaluebbe@comcast.net, or send your ideas via inter-office mail
to Melissa Luebbe c/o Pain Management Department.
Holiday Bonus - Anyone who is already participating in Journal Club may
make up any articles that they have missed! No later than 12/31/11 please!
ok. i'm posting a comment. i like the way we do our journal. hope you keep the same. how to become more interactive between members? well, i know everybody is busy with their sched. esp. with holidays coming but i can always a drop a note. Happy holidays to everyone!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays.
ReplyDeleteare you having trouble posting a comment? i needed to open a google account before i can post comment cause i had to select a profile.
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa, You have made the Journal club so unbelivably availabe and accomadating, I personally would not change a thing. My time on the computer is so limited to work. I truely appreciste if you could leave it as it is, why change whats not broken.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryl and Jennifer, I am glad you enjoy the format. I am just trying to get a feel for how everyone would like to proceed with Journal Club.
ReplyDeleteCommenting on the blog site is not mandatory in order to be part of Journal Club, but it would allow discussion without having to physically meet. To comment on the blog you must have a Gmail account(free), this is Google's way of keeping anonymous people from commenting inappropriately. You can then sign onto the blog once you have an account.
Hello all. I am new to journal club and feel so far the way of doing the articles is good. But if there is a need for more communication it could be that maybe one part of getting credit could be a quick blog about the article. Only have a min word count, like 25 words. Just throwing it out there, if there is a need for more participation.
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that it is on-line. This is sensitive to the various shifts that we all work. If it needs to be interactive, you can "mandate" that a public comment be made, as part of the questions we answer?
ReplyDeleteMelissa--
ReplyDeleteI answered the Nov questions on depression but don't see my name published, for credit?
Theresa, sorry I missed your name, I got it.
ReplyDeleteI too enjoy the format. I, however, think that the purpose of a JC is to discuss thoughts/opinions about the article. So, maybe it should be mandatory to blog about the article as well as answer the questions to get credit.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it would be beneficial if instructions on how to blog could be posted!
Spending my holidays in real estate in Cebu thank you Mama!
ReplyDeleteIts a great pleasure reading your post. Its full of information I am looking for and I love to post a comment that "The content of your post is awesome" Great work.
