So, imagine having cancer, you are afraid and not feeling well. You have a day full of appointments and will be visiting multiple healthcare providers that use words, phrases and acronyms that you have never heard before. Oncology patients and their families are required to almost learn a completely new language in order to understand their disease, and make decisions about their treatment options. Nurses and other healthcare support staff act as human subtitles for patients that are inundated with unfamiliar concepts, medications and treatment modalities.
This month's post The Nurse's Role in Health Literacy in Patients with Cancer can remind us that most patient's need individualized education based on their level of understanding and readiness to learn. Please also watch this short video on Teach Back Method.
Questions
- What exactly is Health Literacy and how can we as healthcare providers improve patient's comprehension of what knowledge they need to retain?
- Describe why Teach Back Method is a good strategy for patients and providers.
Discussion Question
For the last two years I have posted a list of possible nursing goals and resolutions to start the new year. For those of you who participated in Journal Club last year, type January 2018 into the search box and see if you met your goal - sharing is optional. I have brought the list back for 2019, select one of the nursing resolutions to share with everyone.
Nursing Resolutions and Goals 2018
- Make a difference to someone else's nursing career and mentor a new nurse.
- Seek out someone that could become a mentor to you.
- Foster more collaboration and communication between physicians and patients.
- Give yourself permission to say "no" at work or home when you feel overwhelmed.
- Stop nurse bullying when you see it, eliminate gossip and back biting by not participating or listening to it.
- Dust off your transcripts and go after your BSN or an advanced degree!
- Find something positive to say to a co-worker you are not fond of.
- Actually take the 30 minutes that you are given each day to eat, go for a walk, or relax.
- Study for your OCN or become certified in your specialty area.
- Develop some healthy ways to cope with on the job stress - any suggestions?
- Avoid unhealthy stress eating and keep some healthy snacks at your work station.
- Write down a list of reasons that you love your current job. If after ten minutes you are still staring at a blank piece of paper, talk with your manager or update your resume or join Linkedin.

Last year my goal was to obtain my BSN. I am happy to report that this has been accomplished :) My goal for 2019 will be to obtain my OCN.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Sheila:-) I am right there with you-planning on taking the OCN in the Spring:-)
DeleteCongrats, Sheila!
DeleteYou can do it! The OCN prep course is really helpful. Congratulations on your accomplishment in 2018 with attaining your BSN. Never stop learning!
DeleteCongratulations, Sheila! Good luck as well with the OCN...I agree with Barbara that the OCN prep course is very helpful!
DeleteWay to go, Sheila! Congrats!!! Good luck to you obtaining the OCN! I know you will do well!
DeleteThanks everyone!

DeleteMy goal last year was to take a Spanish medical professional course and I did not accomplish that, but I was able to participate in the ONCC's CBCN test writing workshop in Pittsburg and that was a goal I had not spoken about as I thought it was completely unattainable.
ReplyDeleteMy goal for 2019 is to maintain my level 4 in clinical ladder.
Congratulations Liz! What a cool thing to participate in! I can imagine what you earned but more so what you gave back with your compassion and knowledge.
DeleteFelicitaciones en to clase de CBCN, Elizabeth! :)
DeleteWhat a great goal Elizabeth. I think I would like to join you in that Spanish Medical professional course as I think it truly is a safety issue when you cannot understand what the patient is saying and you are relying on an interpretation from another person. Maybe for me it is that loss of control....who knows. But thanks for giving me that goal. And Good Luck in meeting your goal this year.
DeleteMy goal last year was to prepare for the OCN and increase my fitness level...Well, 2019 is the year to take the exam, stay tuned...as far as the fitness thing..always in pursuit unfortunately:-( Time is the biggest obstacle........
ReplyDeleteLol! I so understand! I finally joined a small gym on the road I take home. I park my car and it is 5 steps to the door. Not 100 rules... just come in and exercise- my least favorite thing to do but trying to learn. Sometimes I only do 10 minutes and other times an hour.
DeleteLol! I so understand! I finally joined a small gym on the road I take home. I park my car and it is 5 steps to the door. Not 100 rules... just come in and exercise- my least favorite thing to do but trying to learn. Sometimes I only do 10 minutes and other times an hour.
DeleteA few years back a Cigna coach told me to just do what you can, even if it is only 10 minutes a day-it's more than doing nothing:-) Good luck! I have purchased several pieces of equiptment over the years so I can work out at home but even that is challenging with so many other things going on:-(
DeleteI agree with you Pat, I am more comfortable if I like the gym that I go to not too many rules, do your thing and go home. something is better than nothing...
DeleteTheresa Minniear - Clinical Research
ReplyDeleteMy 2018 resolution was to exercise more. My husband and I started out great--5 days a week for the first full six weeks of the year. Then came mid-February: In a matter of 2 days, all 4 members of our household were diagnosed with Influenza A, and weights instead gave way to medicine and kleenex. I exercised periodically the rest of the rare...but barely.
So, my husband and I are back at it again! So far we have exercised all 4 days in January (today is 1/4/19). I would like to implement keeping healthy food at my desk, or at least to be mindful of eating colorful vegetables and fruits daily.
Happy New Year, everyone! :)
Consistency is key with exercise! Find an activity you love to do, and it makes it much easier to stick to. You've got this!
DeleteThank you, Katrina!
DeleteTotally get it Theresa-you are committed and going strong then something like that screws everything up-so hard to get your groove back then:-( Totally out of your control!!!
DeleteI DID NOT PARTICIPATE LAST YEAR, BUT... ONCE YOU SLOW DOWN ON ANYTHING IT IS HARD TO GET GOING AGAIN, IN MY CASE ITS BACK TO THE GYM, AND EATING HEALTHY. IT ALSO HELPS WHEN YOU PARTNER WITH SOMEONE AND EVEN SHARE INTERESTING RECIPES OR MEALS.
DeleteMy goal last year was to write down what I love about my job on a regular basis... and I promptly forgot it. I think I got so busy that I just didn't even think about it. Lol.
ReplyDeleteSo in order to actually achieve my goal this year, I am going to set a monthly reminder in my phone to sit down and write that list.
I think this is a great goal, Katrina! Because you are right we tend to get so busy and at times think about what some negative aspect transpired throughout the day, that we forget that the good should outweigh the bad! =)
DeleteKatrina,
DeleteWhat a great goal! How beneficial it would be to be able to reflect on all of the positive things about your job. Just pick up your notes and see all of the good things that happened at work. I sure that will make it easier to get up and go to work every day.
Patricia
I like the idea of identifying the positives of the job. In the current healthcare climate, we need to focus on positives. This is a tangible method to stay motivated and upbeat.
DeleteI think that as nurses it is always imperative for us to dwell on the positivity than negativity as our work is already stressful as it is. I like the idea of taking the time, sit down, and reflect on the positive attributes of our job because I feel that it keeps us grounded and it motivates us to better ourselves in this profession. Good luck Katrina!!!
DeleteI did not do a whole lot to meet my goal of studying for certification as much as I should have. All of the changes over the past year at CTCA and with my changing role have left me needing to spend my time off away from nursing. I think Katrina has the right idea, set a dedicated time regularly and that should help with adherence, hopefully.
ReplyDeleteMary, With the exception of surgical interventions, I had minimal exposure to the information and experience needed to pass the OCN exam. Therefore, I had much to learn to pass the exam. Be confident in knowing that it can be done. I put in many hours of studying and it payed off. I passed last year and plan on retaining my certification. We all have our strengths and weaknesses when it comes to oncologic knowledge. If you are determined to take a bit at a time and stick to your plan you can do it. Best of luck to you.
DeleteI hear you Mary! I also need be start studying for and take the OCN exam. Maybe we can study together...that is if we have any downtime outside of work! Good luck!!!
DeleteMaybe we could form our own OCN study group. We could meet one day a week for 1 or 2 months after work. Just an idea :)
DeleteI did fulfill my goal last year in mentoring another nurse from a different department. I still enjoy teaching and being a resource in the infusion center. This year I plan to focus more on myself and my health, AND to learn how to say "NO" if in situations that I feel I am too busy or overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteGreat Job in achieving your goal! I completely understand learning how to say no. In my career I've always been the person to say yes to everything. At one point I had to realize that by me saying yes so many times, my family was struggling.I had to find that balance. In which I found that by being able to say "NO" when needed.
DeleteThis year I would like to make a difference to someone else's nursing career and mentor a new nurse. I work in surgery and 2 of our current nurses will be eventually moving on to a career as Nurse Practitioners. This will create a need for at least one replacement nurse to join our team. I have taken the class at CTCA for mentoring and I have mentored new nurses at my prior place of employment. I enjoy teaching new nurses in a common-sense approach. It was very intimidating for me when I first entered the department of surgery. I was indoctrinated with the "sink or swim method". I completely disagree with this ineffective teaching method. Surgical nurses can be territorial and intimidating to those new to the field. I like to use my 11 plus years of experience to make a new nurse feel confident and comfortable. I like to let them get their hands on things rather than simply demonstrate. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to mentor a nurse who is new to surgery in 2019.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome John!! You will be a great mentor!!
DeleteJohn, I agree that OR nurses are territorial, and that it is a challenge to train a new nurse in a humane environment. It has been scientifically proved that we learn better in a relaxed environment, when not threatened and not in so called survival mode. Unfortunately, there are still people, and some of them are doctors, who believe that the emotion of stress promotes learning...and it does, but in a destructive and traumatic way. I still have not figured out why surgical nurses tend to be so intimidating. My theory is that they feel very insecure, and it has to do with the nature of the job. The need for approval, the need to control things, and the need for external power are all based on fear. This kind of power is really a weakness...
DeleteProfessional Goal for 2018 - Met! I did dust off that transcript and have completed a course towards my MSN. This is an ongoing goal but I'm happy to say that I have completed the first few steps towards accomplishing this goal! My goal for 2019 is to avoid unhealthy stress eating by keeping healthy snacks in the breakroom. At home my intention is to minimize the amount of unhealthy snacks that I buy and increase the amount of health snacks that I have in the house.
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! Good for you taking your MSN class! I’m with you on the stress eating. If we only have healthy foods in the house, that’s what we will go for. We’ve got this! Best of luck! :)
DeleteStephanie
Unfortunately, I did not meet my goal for 2018, which was to complete my OCN. The new policy states that we can get our certificate in the our surgical department so that is what I am striving for in 2019. I plan on getting my CPAN certification (stands for perianesthesia nurse). I believe this goal will be more beneficial to my line of work.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with working towards your CPAN certification!
DeleteSarah
Good luck to us this year in taking the CPAN certification.
DeleteHi everyone,
ReplyDeleteMy goal from last year was to take Classes toward my BSN. I completed 3 classes and will take 3 more this year to finish in Jan of 2020. My goal this year avoid stress eating. I go through phases where I eat really really well, and then will stress eat at night when I get home from work. My goal is to minimize that and eventually stop. I have a lot of allergies to food so I want to do my best to improve that. Meal planning and prepping is my goal this year!
Good luck to everyone with their goals! :)
Stephanie
Steph, you can do this!!! Good luck!!!
DeleteHi, I plan on maintaining my OCN certification this year to renew for another 4 year period. I really enjoy the ILNA assessment, as it helps focus on the areas I need to work on for the next re-certification period.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Sarah

ReplyDeleteMy goal for 2019 is to write down things I love about my job.
ReplyDeleteAs a Certified Surgical Tech in the OR, I believe that I can write down many awesome things about working in the OR! Don't get me wrong, some days are more difficult that others but the good days definitely out way the bad! Good luck to all in hopes of achieving their goals this year!
My goal for 2019 is to maintain what I have been working on personally and adding on continuing education. I have spent last year on reflecting and meditating on myself. Self-discovery, knowing who I am and finding my inner purpose has become my point of interest if not obsession. I believe that when you are filled with inner purpose, you do not need motivation. That is the force I am looking for. The force of creating life as opposed to reacting to it.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you'll find it and may the force be with you..
Delete2018's goal:
ReplyDeleteWow, what a difference a year makes. I have become certified as a holistic nurse and I have also become OCN certified. I took the big leap and started the BSN program at Chamberlain School of Nursing. I hope to complete classes by August of 2019. This year my goal is to give myself permission to say “no”. Not only say “no” but to reach out for help before I become overwhelmed.
I have to say that so far I am meeting my goals. I have been better at saying "no" and asking for help. I am also on course to completing school before August.
For 2019: I will keep striving to finish school and I will also integrate more stress relief into my day. I listen to happy music while I type, I will try to remember to deep breath and take a moment to center myself whenever I am feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
I'm with you about taking a moment for myself , A me time because its very important that we take care of our self too so can take care others better. A stress free life
DeleteYou got this Trish! You are almost there! You are one of the smarted nurses I know and a great resource for me and all of us. Music definitely helps me get things accomplished too. (Im playing music right now)
Delete2018 goal.....obtain another certification. I completed a goal. Yeah!!! I was able to obtain my certification in Breast care (CBCN). My goal for this year (2019) is to try to learn Spanish as a health care provider and to maintain Level 4 clinical ladder. On a personal goal....once again trying to drink more water....I think I was successful so far....2 days but I will keep trying...Happy 2019 to all.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of learning Spanish as a healthcare provider!
Deletecongratulation on your CBCN. i think its really helpful to be multilingual particularly in health care field. Good luck with it, you can do it.
DeleteGood luck with everything! you are a busy woman. I'm here if you need any help with your Spanish. I have a 40 oz bottle I use for water and this has helped me with my H2O intake. Let me know how everything goes.
DeleteLast year I chose to mentor a young nurse, my daughter, who is in junior year pursuing her BSN. We discuss her clinicals, rationale for processes, comparing nursing practice changes from 1980 to now, and what nursing will look like in the future. It is really fun to develop this relationship with my daughter, very different from the years of high school mother-daughter conflicts. 2019 Resolutions will be to continue finding time for friends and time for regular exercise. These are important quality of life elements. I should also consider healthier snacks/desserts...I do love chocolate & desserts, may need to make long-lasting changes in that arena. More popcorn, fig newtons?
ReplyDeleteMy 2019 goal is to start studying for and pass the OCN exam. I have wanted this for sometime and keep putting it off. I did complete the OCN prep course 10/2018 and now need to create a schedule for myself for studying. Maybe I should set a date for the exam and this will motivate me more. Wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda. I like how you stated your goal as to study for and PASS the OCN. I think its important to directly state your intention. Good luck!
DeleteWishing you the best of luck, Amanda, but I know that you've got this!
DeleteAmanda, When I decided to go for it I had to set the date to get myself to start the study process. It was very motivating knowing that there was a goal in site. Good luck I know you will do well.
DeleteGood luck Amanda! I know you will do well!
DeleteYou got this Amanda!
DeleteNinfa Bontes January 16, 2019
ReplyDeleteNow that I have obtained MSN and NP certification, my plan is to be OCN certified in the next 1-2 years. Fingers crossed! Needs self-discipline, time, and commitment.
Congratulations and good luck for the OCN.

ReplyDeleteHappy new year! My goal last year was to use my holistic training more in my practice. I am certainly more mindful and present with my patients so I think I have achieved that. My goal this year is to continue to meditate daily and expand my meditation practice.
ReplyDeleteMy 2018 goal was to mentor a new nurse/nursing student. I did accomplish that goal, as I was able to mentor a Marquette nursing student/family friend two separate sessions here this past spring. Actually just saw her briefly yesterday!
ReplyDeleteAs for 2019-I am definitely going to work on the Saying No when overwhelmed part! I tend to be a person who goes with the flow, but sometimes too much so! Gotta take care of ME.
My goal for 2019 will be twofold....One is to help mentor a nursing student as my daughter's college roommate is in her second year of a BSN program. I've enjoyed having discussions over her new learning as well as encouraging her when it feels overwhelming. I also hope to develop a more regular exercise schedule, which I definitely believe helps me better deal with life's stresses...
ReplyDeleteBeing a mentor to a new nurse is a great feeling! Being able to explain theory and processes in the real world and outside of the classroom is such a rewarding experience. Exercise is a never ending battle, getting a schedule is great idea to battle stress!

ReplyDeleteMy post from last year 2 years were, "As we all know health care has changed and we are all feeling the effects of this here at MRMC. So, my goal is to try to continue to have a positive and thankful attitude in this changed environment!". This is definitely still true and will continue to be my focus for this year. It seems that once we get used to changes that are made, more changes happen. But I am still thankful to be doing a job that I love what I do, so I will continue to try to focus on the positives and let go of any negativity.
This will continue to me my goal as changes are the way of life around here and in healthcare.
Tina I too am with you on this goal! Trying to remember to be positive in all the moments, and to remember to be thankful as well. SO thankful to being doing what feels good but trying to remember that in every moment even the difficult ones.
DeleteMy goal for last year was to start saying no in both my personal and work life. I would say I have definitely gotten better at it but will continue to work towards it. My new goal for this year will be to keep healthy snacks at my work station as well as at home. I really need to become mindful of what and when I am eating and learn to deal with stress in other healthy ways.
ReplyDeleteMY goal for 2019 is give my self permission to say No at home or at work when I am over whelmed because, I feel at times some people takes advantage of knowing that I would not say no and I keep helping,I ended up feeling very overwhelmed.Being overwhelmed it is hard to focus on task and also affects productivity.
ReplyDeletealong with staying positive.
ReplyDeleteI love this! Staying positive can sometimes be difficult when I get caught up in the little problems or snags of the day.
DeleteMy goal is to be better at saying no when I already have enough on my plate. Our roles are complex and often times require us to be working on multiple patient needs at the same time. In addition to working on what is in front of us, the numerous amounts of communication we have (skype, cortext, email, shm, RF, JB, phones...etc)constantly points us in different directions to address additional needs. This can be overwhelming and ultimately distract us from the task at hand. Prioritizing what is most important, focusing on it and providing my attention to providing excellent nursing care is my goal. Saying no to the things that can wait is going to be my goal.
ReplyDeleteMy Goal for this year is to review for OCN and passing it . I would also like to exercise more and eat healthy so I can be of help to all those people that needs me.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Vilma. Getting the OCN certification will be hard work but well worth it in the end. Start studying now and just do a little bit at a time until you are ready. And when you feel like the studying is stressing you out, go for a walk or to the gym to relieve that stress and maintain your physical and mental health.
DeleteMy goal this year is to say "no" both at work and home. I'm realizing that having time to yourself isn't selfish but essential to good health. Being at work anywhere from 8 - 12 hours and then going home to help with the work to be done there is exhausting. I really enjoy my job and feel loyal to my dept., so I often stay late to help out. I admit I also enjoy the overtime. However, with 6 children in school activities, musicals, and differ sport groups, it seems like I'm working non-stop for seven days straight continually. This year I will work on saying "No, I can't stay late tonight," and "I'm sorry, we just can't do that his weekend."
ReplyDeleteOne of my goals last year was to be mind full of my health & wellness by using holistic approaches. I am getting better but need to do more. Another goal is to take the OCN test. Be positive and adopt to the various changes in our facility and health care. We are hoping for the best.
ReplyDeleteMy nursing resolution and Goals for 2019 will include: I WILL TRY to actually take the 30 minutes given to me each day to take a break, go eat, go for a walk, or just relax. It’s hard to break away from working when it’s so busy, but 2019 is about ME!
ReplyDeleteMy goals last year were to eat healthy, exercise, rest & relax and maybe pass any state approve certifications related to my area of expertise. To be honest, I'm only 50 % successful. Eating healthy is the hardest one for me. For now, I'm putting most of my free time on preparing and hopefully passing my state certification. Good luck to me and to all who are planning to take their exams this year.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Alex!!!!
DeleteMy goal last year was to take thirty minutes out for me. While I absolutely have incorporated that into my personal life at home, I still don’t always take the full thirty minutes away at work. This is definitely a goal to continue working on.
ReplyDeleteThis year I have added a new goal of *Study for your OCN or become certified in your specialty area. I am a certified Med Surg Nurse, however, I still need to obtain the mandatory OCN. I have all the study books etc - just need the motivation to open them.
(Submission by Danyel Scharff RN)
I have meet my goal last year.Avoid unhealthy stress eating and keep some healthy snacks at your work station. In which I have to do it again. I relapsed, we have drug rep coming almost everyday and it's very tempting to eat what I see, due to stress from work, I tend to what I see and snacking unhealthy foods. I love to eat. It's hard. Congratulations to the rest of you who meet there goals.
ReplyDelete Actually take the 30 minutes that you are given each day to eat, go for a walk, or relax.
ReplyDelete Develop some healthy ways to cope with on the job stress - any suggestions?
Avoid unhealthy stress eating and keep some healthy snacks at your work station.
I cannot decide between the 3 above so I may just go for them all!! One of my ways to cope with work stress or any stress really is unhealthy eating. So I can accomplish both goals if I can have some self control in that area!
Well my goal for 2018 was to continue to work towards my BSN degree as well as to achieve my OCN certification. Unfortunately I did attempt to take the OCN and I failed. I plan to take another prep course again this year and try again. I have never worked with stem cell or chemo, my entire oncology experience has been in Breast surgery so this is just difficult to cram information in I think. I will keep working towards that goal. I have however completed additional courses towards my BSN and have just 5 more courses to complete. There is a light at the end of that tunnel.
ReplyDeleteWow, we have similar stories! Keep it up....You are almost there!
DeleteMy goal for 2019 is to seek out someone that could become a mentor to me. I have decided to go back to school. It's been a long time since I've been in school. I will have to be refigure out my study habits and time management.
ReplyDeleteRosa Bastean
Looking at my goal that I have set for myself in 2018, I think that I have accomplished it because I earned my BSN degree. This year, I am setting myself to study for my OCN certification and be certified by the end of the year as part of the requirement. Happy New Year to all my colleagues in nursing profession.
ReplyDeleteMy goal for 2019 is to give myself permission to say "no" at work or home when you feel overwhelmed. I am not good at this at all, I pile too much on my plate and am not good at asking for help. This is something that I am cognizant of and will continue to work on this year! With working full time, raising two daughters, being a wife/daughter/sister/friend, and going back to school to pursue my MSN, I need to be lear to say no! :)
ReplyDeleteMy goal for 2019 is to try to take 30 minutes each day to walk away and take a break. This is hard to do for me because I know there is work that needs to be done while I am away. I also know that is it important to take breaks during the day, especially since we have been so busy.
ReplyDeleteHere Here!!!! I love this one! Since my new role change to phones, I find it hard to walk away because I never know when a call might be coming in. But lately whenever I need to go to the bathroom, I walk to one on the other side of the hospital. Gives me a break, a different view and a little walk. I've been happier with this new role since doing this. So it must be a necessity.
DeleteMy 2019 goal is to allow myself to say no at work more. There are times I really do not want to be on a committee or go to a meeting but I go anyway because it seems easier to say yes. Well, no more. I am empowering myself to say no!
ReplyDeleteCathy,
DeleteThat is a great goal. I know sometimes it is hard to say no because it pulls on our heart strings. It is a much needed skill to learn how to say no and not feel guilty about it! Have a wonderful 2019!
Brenda Chiappetta
My Goal this year is to obtain my OCN and to continue to work toward my BSN. Prior to all the holidays and festivities it was hard to even think about getting back into study mode. Now I'm ready to get it DONE!
ReplyDeleteGreat for you Jen!
DeleteKeep plugging away and you will be finishing in no time. Slow and steady wins the race. It’s not a sprint but a marathon!
Best wishes to you in 2019!
Brenda Chiapetta
My goal for last year was to take more time for self care, taking my 30 minute lunch breaks and actually eat/go for a walk, and finish my MSN.
ReplyDeleteI am proud to say that I have taken more time for self-care, take my lunch breaks the majority of the time unless we are short staffed and one of us is out in wound care sometimes it’s not possible, but sometimes it still is. I haven’t finished my MSN, but have only one class left which I am signed up for and start at the beginning of March. For 2019, I am going to keep the same goals as I had last year as I feel they are very important.
Here’s to a great 2019!
Brenda Chiappetta
I have met my goals for 2018 except my OCN certification, i have been healthy most of the time. So for 2019 being healthy still is my priority and I am taking CPAN instead of OCN, hopefully I will pass. Also another goal is to continue doing the ACE ladder.
ReplyDeleteMy goal this year is to actually take the 30 minute lunch break and set work aside for that 1/2 hour. Whether I'm actually able to leave my desk or not, I can always plug in to a podcast or listen to music for that half hour. When the phone rings and can't answer I always feel guilty. I know I need to decompress, as the stress of the day can become overwhelming when not stepping away briefly. This is definitely a realistic goal; whether or not I can change my mindset is the problem. ;)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, my goal was not met and will be my goal again this year. To get my OCN... and be healthy. I have been neglectful to my wellness and would like to turn that around. One way to wellness is just saying NO
ReplyDeleteMy goal last year was to pass the OCN exam and thankfully I did. This yeas goal I would say to become more knowledgeable about the new drugs that are out in the market now for breast cancer. It seems like every year there are new and better treatment options for patients, its almost hard to keep up.
