Last month's articles on medicinal cannabis generated more interest than any previous post in Journal Club history. Many nurses have shared with me that they have already been able to pass on their knowledge of medical cannabis with their patients and peers. It warms my heart to know that Journal Club participation extends beyond clinical ladder points. So, for the month of February, curl up with your lap tops, stay warm and enjoy the following articles.
Introduction to the Endocannabinoid System explains how medical professionals are incorporating medical cannabis into their daily practice. Scientists to Government: is an article from the New York Times that explains how government restrictions delay the progress needed to research medical cannabis. The last article Ways of Consuming Medical Cannabis, speaks of the different delivery mechanisms for medicinal cannabis.
No questions or discussion this month, no post during the month of March due to spring break. The final articles for the year will appear in April and May. Each year completion of six posts was required for ACE credit, this year I am changing that requirement to five. So many of you have put so much effort, heart and soul into your answers I think five posts are a fair exchange for the ACE credit given.
It goes without saying the MRMC nurses are the best and the brightest, keep up the great work - you are all amazing!
